Thana was raised to make an advantageous marriage, and her father ensured she did. Thana was engaged to Lord Calder Seawolf when she was 18, shortly after his second wife died, and they were married when she turned 20. Despite being little more than a child herself, she inherited taking care of his children Luthien (then 8), Keenan (then 7), and Daire (then 3) in addition to the household. She bore him two children of her own, daughter Sorcha five years into their marriage and son Tierney seven years in.
