Centurian

A Centurian commands a Century in the Imperial Army of The Brilliant Empire.

Qualifications

A Centurian will have served as a Decanus for at least a few years, and almost always will have served as another Centurian's Optinus or Tertanus. They must be skilled and good leaders of people.

Appointment

Centurians are appointed by a Field Marshall or by the Imperial Commander of Armies.

Duties

The Centurian is responsible for making sure their Century is functioning at its best and to command them in all functions.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Generally, Centurians wear the same uniform as their soldiers. On their dress uniform, the Centurian patch has five black stars and five gold stars. This motif is repeated across the training fatigues and other gear - the five black and five gold stars in a circle when possible; different variations of five black and five gold stripes where it isn't.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A Centurian can leave their position when they retire, are promoted, or are removed for bad conduct or failure to perform. Only the Imperial Commander of each branch can remove Centurians, though Field Marshalls can recommend it.
