General Summary

Back at the Hood River Sept with a bound and unconscious Qin, Demon Speaker and a well-bargained-for polyp, full of Chǐrǔ's Poison. Theodore Ward brought out a length of forged iron chain, covered in complex runes, and the pack swapped the jury-rigged bindings for the Chain of Nullification . With Natalie of the Hidden Path and Sophia, Web Breaker still away and Jacob, the Unyielding 's condition worsening, the young pack had to quickly figure out a way to cure the poison.
First, they chose to use the small occult research library in the basement of the Great Hall. Clay did a quick Google search for information on Chǐrǔ, but the only reasonable results yielded the fact that "Chǐrǔ" translates to "shame" or "guilt". Those searching the stacks found a few scattered references to a powerful Chinese spirit that exchanges a special substance in exchange for guilt-ridden people it can consume.
Next, they returned to the main room of the Great Hall, where Jacob was laid out, being watched over by Theodore. Of to the side, on the bench they had bound Qin to, woke him with smelling salts and asked him about how to save Jacob. Getting his bearings after the shock of being a-salted (ha), Qin focused on Jacob for a moment, and then felt the static spike of pain from the Chains.
