Taking the Fight to the Goblins Report

General Summary

While helping to clean up the goblin bodies, the party found a bound and gagged bodyguard in the stables named Connal Ravenshill. Connal said that he had been guarding a couple of merchants when they were attacked by goblins. He diverted the goblins enough for his charges to get away. The goblins tied him up and talked about him making a good slave, big, strong. They then freed the Brannagan's from their bonds and made sure they were safe.
Crasock identified the goblin tribes involved. The goblins in the house were from a new tribe, the Bonebreakers, while the tribe outside was the Bonesnappers. Given how many Bonebreakers were killed, he estimated that they could probably attack the new lair in the Dymrak Forest and wipe the rest of them out before they established themselves and became a threat.
Elyot and Brannon decided they would escort Brannagan's wife back to Hillsboro so she could report the attack, while Crasock, Gymno, and Abebane would attack the goblin lair. Connal asked to be part of the attack as well, payback for his capture and humiliation.
Crasock guided the four companions to the Bonebreaker's new base. Gymno excitedly ran into the darkened lair, forgetting that Dragonborn don't see in the dark. Lighting his torch, he found himself facing two giant lizards. Yelling out to the rest of his companions, they defeat the lizards after incurring some injuries. Two goblins were watching from a south passage, guarding the way, while more goblins could be heard beyond them.
Dispatching the two goblin guards quickly, they entered the main lair of the goblins, dozens of sleeping piles encircled the room and five goblins stood readied against them. The goblins were a serious threat, but were eventually defeated.
Forging on to the south, opening a pair of oaken double doors revealed the goblin chieftain and a bodyguard. After a brief and bloody battle, the companions close the doors and take some time to rest and recuperate.
