Personal history
Dr. Chaos was born a member of the Berners. One of the Berners is her biological mother (her father abandoned them and her mother joined the Berners when she was pregnant), but she doesn’t feel any particular attachment to her mother over any of the other Berners. They're all her family. None of them would claim “ownership” over her.
Birb is not her “real” brother, but when he was adopted into the Berners (they found him wandering alone as a toddler when Dr. Chaos was 5), she immediately declared he was her brother and gave him his name. She’s a bit embarrassed that Birb insists on keeping his name the same since she thinks she could do much better now. Occasionally, she’ll suggest other names to him, but he’s never accepted any of them.
Dr. Chaos respects Hedgehog’s opinion and often turns to her for counsel when she’s unsure of what to do. Dr. Chaos gets them into trouble and Hedgehog tends to get them out of it. Hedgehog and Dr. Chaos were both born in the Berners and have known each other the longest.
She's not really sure what to make of Poison Vortex yet, but she will treat him like a valued member of her family as long as he chooses to stay with them. Also, he's nice to Birb so he can't be a bad person.
Dr. Chaos is the fourth name she’s adopted in her 14 years of life and she’s had this one longer than any of the others. She’s adept with a crossbow and knife, but prefers her knife. She’s learned quite a few tricks with it.

Dr. Chaos' education has largely been directed by Hedgehog, actually. Dr. Chaos has never really been interested in books and likes learning physical skills more than academic ones. However, Hedgehog is constantly reading any book she can get her hands on and can spend hours telling Dr. Chaos about what she's read. As a result, Dr. Chaos knows most of the facts that Hedgehog does even if she doesn't completely understand their significance.
