Dudelldan Peninsula
The Dudelldan Peninsula (also called Duadelldan) is a peninsula found in Northern Roscrea. It makes up the bulk of the region and is controlled by Kingdom Elkenets, and in turn, the Roscrean Empire. It is known for its dramatic mountains, Dwarven influence, hunting culture, and its hardy people.
Geography
The peninsula is separated from the rest of the Empire by the Kenhardt River to the south, while it maintains a land bridge to Guilnile to the north via the Mannling Pass, which lies between the great Hjabardun Mountains that creates its natural border with Guilnile. The region is home to several wooded regions, such as the Beachrock Woods, which holds plently of game as is the reported home of the illustrious White Stag. The Dark Pine Woods also lies to the east, which is full of ancient dangers and mystery, and dips into Kingdom Perriot. The region gradually becomes less wooded the more north one goes. The dangerous regions of Spiddle Craddle and the Wasteland lie to its east. Spiddle Craddle is full of giant webs and tall trees that are home to spiderkin, while the Wasteland to its west is a barren region that holds little life but is refuge to many outlaws and more dangerous enemies to Roscrea. A small inlet of the Kenhardt River separates these dangerous regions from the west. The Deep Hills lie on the shores of the inlet and are home to many troublesome goblin clans. Remsey's Gale lies to the west of the Deep Hills, and holds many cracks and ravines. The fertile south holds much suitable farmland along the southern coast of the Kenhardt River. To the north of the fertile land is the Western Rolls, a hilly and forested region that was once home to the Serians. Along the northern border, the peninsula is separated by a thin river that stretches up to the border of Guilnile. The river is created from the melting snow of the Hjabardun Mountains, and many dwarves throw their trash down its stream, leading to many machines being washed up on its shore. The reaching Mountains are a large mountain range that stretch from the Hjabardun Mountains and deep into the peninsula. It is home to several small Dwarven Clans, as well as trolls and bandits. It creates a great valley which Fort Blueblood sits upon.History
The Dudelldan Peninsula was first owned by the wilderness of Archtun, with all sorts of manner of strange creature making it their home, such as the spider-kin, werewolves, and gfedorts. In 3700 1E, the Dwarves of Guilnile would officially travel across the Hjabardun Mountains up till the Kenhardt River. They would settle in small communinities, with no great presence or clan to speak of. The land was generally mild to live in to them, much preffering the colder and mountanous climate of Guilnile, but the new frontier prooved valuable to the poorer of society, criminals, or rich chiefs who wished to have isolation from the rest of Dwarven Society.
