The Deep Hills

The Deep Hills are a hilly region found just west of a small inlet river from the Kenhardt River within the Dudelldan Peninsula. It is known for its population troublesome goblin clans as well as trolls. Sometimes, goblins brave themselves enough to sally out and plunder nearby settlements, including Elkuened for gold. The goblins and trolls of the Deep Hills often do battle with the forces of the southern Fort Hallowcreek. The Goblin Hunter Guild has been despatched to the hills more than once, but the goblins always return. Since the early fourth era, Kingdom Elkenets has been employing a nearby wizard company named the Three Wands to help drive out the goblins. 

History

In the late second era, around 6950 2E, the Titanborne wreaked havoc on the Dudelldan Peninsula due to the Bright Wizards of Eldoria meddling with the Enormdraks of the region. The Titanborne walked over the Deep Hills, and as she did, goblins attached themselves to her. When she eventually fell not far from the Deep Hills, the goblins retreated into the Dark Pine Woods and infested them, only to be eaten and used as prey by the spiderkin of Spiddle Cradle.
