Glory Pantheon

Liberators of the World

The Glory Pantheon, known as the Free Gods, are the common pantheon of Vyngaard. The Glory Pantheon consists of five gods, though it originally, before the events of the Shattering of Bonds and World, consisted of nine.   Three fell in the final battle, and the last betrayed all that the Pantheon stood for, and was cast into the Brýnnbjord.

Structure

There is no power structure within the Glory Pantheon itself, as all Free Gods have power over individual domains. They are a council, where every voice is heard and listened to equally.

The Free Gods

The Free Gods were originally of different races, though it is unknown what each might have been. Dwarrow, Gnome, Orc, and Zajec are the common races that were slaveworkers to the Empire, and is is believed they were any of these. They sacrificed their shapes in the final battle against the Masters, and are now shapeless, or at least their shapes are unknown. The same way, the Gods are no longer considered to have genders, but are generally referred to with the pronoun that they seemed to have had before the Shattering.

Icteus

the Vowbreaker
Tempest and Individuality
Icteus was the master of enthropy and the individual's strength and freedom, She was a great fighter and fantastic to fight alongside. But in the final assault on Ygníheim, she used her powers to take control of the Elven, Halflings, and Dragonborn to turn them to the Glory Pantheon's side. This went against the very core that drove the Pantheon, that no one should be the subject under any other will than their own. The shift of power is credited to have tipped the battle in the Pantheon's favour, but the betrayal was too great. She was cast out of the Glory Pantheon, saddened by the measures she had to take but also not regretting them. It is unknown where she disappeared to, but she is thought to still be fighting for freedom.
Icteus, the Vowbreaker

Ythus, Aine, and Yasis

Ythus, Aine, and Yasis were strong leaders in their own rights, and are generally paired, in order, with healing, strength, and the three elements. They perished in the final assault on Ygníheim and therefor not much is known about them. Aina is rumoured to have been the lover of Ydione, but there are no grounds on which to base this information.

Public Agenda

The Glory Pantheon believes fully that freedom is what is the most important thing. The individual's right to make a decision of their own volition, on their own grounds, trumps all. Laws are certainly important, and some order is always needed, but it should be developed by all, for all.

History

The Glory Pantheon was created at the uprising against the The Tidal Empire , in the event known as the Shattering of Bonds and World. The nine forged the magic of their blood into the Fahn Circlet to make it a prison for the Sea Terrors.   In the final rebellion, Ythus, Aine, and Yasis perished. They gave their lives to save the others, and though they are not officially part of the pantheon, they are honoured among many. Icteus was the one who broke the promise of freedom above all and was cast out. It is unknown what became of them.   The remaining five formed the Pantheon to hunt down the Sea Terrors and stop the spreading of the Tidal Empire across all of Aldinnhalldr. They left Vyngaard behind, but they all still carry power over the domains, listen to the prayers sent their way, and can grant wishes and favours. This is done through their Speakers, beings in Vyngaard who speak for them.
