Arcane Northern Lager

Article Contents

Named after the dragon lord Oliark the Arcane. Arcane Northern Lager is an amber colored beer, somewhat hazy, with a toasty, dry flavor. This beer has traces of gem powder, which is a fancy term for a mixture of several different varieties of salt (Sodium Chloride, Lithium Chloride, Potassium Chloride), mixed in with even smaller amounts of corundum minerals, crushed into a fine powder. The result is an increased affinity for all types of magic for several hours.

This beer is quite popular across Ordland and Faeon, and has also seen some success in Lyonne and Ledo. Elves especially like the taste of this beer. Some human kingdoms like Irrelith, Yurrimkil, and North Cassel love the taste of this beer while others do not.

Humans that drink this beer can get drunk rather quickly despite the low alcohol content. It isn't due to alcohol but because of the high mana content of the beer. Increased mana levels in humans can make thoughts foggy, affects motor skills, and more.

The effects ends as soon as the mana dissipates and there are no long term negative effects. Humans usually avoid this frink because of this, but those with high resistance to mana (usually by being mages and casting spells their entire lives) aren't affected by this at all.
