SM4 - What's the Rub?

General Summary

The party interrogated some prisoners and met with an old friend from the Celonar Adventurer's Guild.

Light Interrogation

At the end of the previous session's flashback, Az Boldfinger came from the alley, having just dealt with a rioter who tried to enter through the side of the building. A minute later, the city guard finally arrived to arrest the rioters. The party mostly cooperated with this, but they snuck the leaders of the rioters away to interrogate them. They learned that the rioters had just come from a Tacaran Independence rally but said that they were not given specific orders of any kind, despite the highly coordinated nature of their attack.

Visiting Nim

The party attended to a few errands, including a visit to their Wizard friend Nim Srzl. He identified some of the magic items they'd recently come by, but was unable to tell the party much about the rubbings of the icy temple's gong from session one. He said they were written in Giant script, but that he could not decipher it, even with magic. Tikvah speculated that the writing could be coded.

A Short Flashack

During this exchange, Nim brought up a previous meeting with Tikvah about similar symbols that prompted Tikvah to have a flashback that featured himself and the Kobold talking about a large, black book.
