Ursacresca
Bears specialized in plant growth/control. The mammals evolved from the Carnivora group and have magic centered around the fertilization of plants. They are exceptional hunters using their ability to connect and sense through plants to hunt. In this connection they use large amount of energy sending this magic into the plants causing increased growth. Through the use of magic-quasi-connective glands through their claws are able to connect directly into plants sensing organs and feel the vibrations of creatures through plants. They are often seen scratching large trees both to sharpen their claws and sense any prey that might be hiding within the trees. One species of them has the ability to directly control plants in this way changing the flow of magic through them and using the plant itself to trap and hunt prey, often with vines or connected root systems.
They also simply through walking across the ground excite plant growth around them. Giving off large amount of magical energy into the ground. Certain species of moss grow on the backs of these creatures in a sort of symbiotic relationship giving them increased knowledge and awareness of their surrounding environment in exchange for the magical energy they give off. They have an intrinsic connection with others of their species in the surrounding area. The moss allows them to communicate with their kind across vast distances through unknown means, but its has been observed of groups of Ursacresca collaboratively hunting over hunting grounds 10's of miles across. These creatures hardly spend times in groups other then when coming together during a large hunt but likely still have social interaction over this moss network.
Ursacresca will also seemingly seek out areas of environmental devastation putting their plant growth powers to work rejuvenating the area that has been damaged. The reason for this behavior is unknown.
The Extrasensory Moss not only allows for communication across large distances but also increased perception (sight, hearing, vibrations in the air), ability to detect slight changes in weather patterns). These are from various species of Moss seemingly spread between kin and quickly grows along the back and shoulders of the youngling. It is unknown the full extent as to what the various species of moss do but it is clear that they allow Ursacresca to be one of the most dangerous species within Vina-Frostlat.
