Virtue

Virtue is a former Top Hero of the State of Minnesota that defected to the People's Liberation Front during the First Villain War. She disappeared following the Battle of Pitsburgh and was declared dead, only to resurface again at the onset of the Second Villain War.
Virtue considers herself to still be a hero, although one in clear conflict with the present authorities of the United States, resulting in her willing participation in a number of villainous acts.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

She is a carried of a mutation that makes her appear 'angelic', including a pair of white wings that she, however, mostly considers to be a bother. Other than that, she is reasonably trained individual that managed to maintain a feminine build nevertheless.

Special abilities

Virtue's individuality is called Light. It allows her to create, shape, manipulate and physically manifest light. The applications of her individuality are greatly varied, making her a greatly versatile combatant.
She can blind her opponents with flashes of light and create rudimentary illusions (such as make herself invisible by refracting light around her). She can make herself float in the air on the small platform of hardlight. She can create physically existing objects, such as weapons, armours and more.
One of her most dangerous attacks ever recorded included Virtue floating above a city, and forming a massive sword from hardlight (on noon, where her powers are the strongest) floating over her, blade facing downward. It then flew downward like a projectile with enough strength to pierce through approximately 27 floors of a skyscraper that became the target of the attack.

Apparel & Accessories

Despite her status as a villain, expect her to wear a slightly stock superhero spandex in the colours of Minnesota flag and its seal on the chest whenever she goes out expecting a fight. She, after all, still considers herself to be a hero, merely loyal to the different government.

Personal history

Virtue was born to a religious household in Minnesota, which - due to her baseline mutation - ended up giving her a childhood that was both rough (due to their peers) and happy (due to being cherished by her parents - especially as her mother gave birth to her rather late, after years of unsuccessful treatment of fertility issues). She was a bright and hard-working child that has also developed their individuality early on and trained it well, fully intended to become a hero whenever it would become possible.
She succeded in that endeavor, quickly gaining popularity and becoming known as one of the strongest heroes in the United States, despite her young age.
What was overlooked was her genuine dislike towards the increasingly heavy-handed ways of dealing with the villainy. This began to brew into a dissent. She was overlooked by the People's Liberation Front's recruitment attempts among the heroes before the outbreak of the First Villain War, but when the situation for that came up, she defected.
She suffered heavy injuries during the Battle of Pitsburgh at the hands of Hellflame, resulting in significant burns to majority of her body. She spend weeks in medical coma (mistaken for someone else due to being basically irrecognizable) almost until the day of Destro's death. She vanished out of the hospital right after and went underground.
It is unknown how exactly she managed to do that, but she was clearly healed by someone (possibly Overhaul) and participated in the Liberation Festival as a member of the People's Liberation Front once again.

Intellectual Characteristics

Reasonably intelligent, well educated and with a lot of combat experience. No significant mastermind capabilities, but appears to have improved on those during their period of absence from the popular eye.

Morality & Philosophy

Appears to still be a genuinely heroic individual. Even in her attempts to overthrow the government she is motivated purely by the desire to make the country a bit more justice - this, together with some of the things she allowed to happen or did herself make her appear as a bit of hypocrite. To be fully honest, she serves more of an example that 'good' doesn't mean 'nice' and that sometimes people can do bad things with good intentions.
Expect her to always pick the option that ends with lower chances of collateral damage of civilian casualties. When it doesn't endanger the mission (signifcantly) expect her to take a detour and help civilians along the way if they ask for it.

Strengths

Powerful and versatile combatant, extremely hard to defeat during the day. Intelligent enough to be highly versatile at application of her already versatile individuality.

Weaknesses

Much weaker after nightfall. Can be relatively easily manipulated through civilian hostages.
