VIllain Alliance of America Organization in Villain Academy | World Anvil

VIllain Alliance of America

Villain Alliance of America is the world's largest and most dangerous villainous team-up. It's an alliance of the majority of notable supervillains and villain lieutenants in the country dedicated to the cause of overthrowing the US Government and defeating the heroes once and for all. It was catapulted from a total secrecy into a spotlight very recently, as a result of its Liberation Festival (simultaneous, successful attack against all major villain prisons in the country) and the subsequent start of the Second Villain War.   The VAA is best describe as the organizational center behind the villainous team-up, with Revenant ordering (or suggesting) the remaining high-profile villain organizations and establishing cooperative missions, while also possessing a number of powerful lieutenants for himself - a necessary thing to maintain respect from the remaining villains.

Structure

Villain Alliance of America has little in terms of established organization structure. Majority of its cadres is hidden in Overlook, a secretive fortress that Archvile built for himself in his heyday, with Revenant snatching it for himself following his death. From there, Revenant oversees the on-going war effort against the government.   Theoretically speaking there is something akin to a council of representatives of the major subsidiary organizations, who are occassionally referred to as the Board of Executives, however this is less an advisory council (and even less something actually making decisions), and more of a title of importance that also gives you the option to actually meet Revenant face to face when you want to.   VAA is acting as the command center for said subsidiary organizations, ensuring that they are all properly supplied and that when organization X requires a particular individuality for their next scheme (that only organization Y can provide), there are no problems with that even if X and Y heavily dislike each other. It's also responsible for crafting a centralized strategy, although that's something that Revenant does together with the Board of Executives.   Current subsidiary groups with seats on the Board are as follows:
Ascending Path
Legion of Purity
Mutant Supremacy Party
Shield of Mankind
People's Liberation Front
Halworth Industries
Current subsidiary groups without seats on the Board of Executives:
Socialist Party
Freedom Party
Fascist Party
Union of '32
Sanguine Pact
Groups not being a part of the VAA, but heavily connected to it:
Exchange
Court of Numbers
House of Glass
Clockwork Tower

Public Agenda

Overthrowing the US Government and the Hero Association, before inevitably collapsing into a bunch of squabbling warlords due to the political line of its members being highly incompatible.

History

The birth of the Villain Alliance is one shrouded in mystery. Revenant was working on it ever since the end of the First Villain War, taking advantage of salvaged Villain Academy assets in order to establish himself and strike alliances with major villainous organizations of the country through a combination of intimidation, bribery and diplomacy.   Villain Alliance used its own secrecy as a weapon, amassing manpower and equipment quietly, before launching the Liberation Festival - simultaneous attack on all major villain prisons nationwide, breaking tens of thousands of inmates out. The attack managed to validate its own existence, while establishing Revenant as a true leader of the team-up and the team-up itself as something more permanent.   Today the Villain Alliance of America is one of the two sides of the on-going Second Villain War
