The Lorvi (pronounced Lore-vee) are the primary human ethnic group of northern
Narr, and are common all throughout eastern
Vildrel. There are an estimated forty million human Lorvi in Vildrel.
Appearance
Lorvi bare a strong resemblance to
Landi humans, and its believed that they may have originated from the same ancient society. They share the same wooly hair, but tend to have lighter colored eyes. They're also ever-slightly shorter than other humans, averaging 5'5" for males, one inch shorter than most averages and a full five inches shorter than the average
Auklan.
Culture
Lorvi society dates back before the
age of work. They have a love of vibrant colors in their art and dress, and a unique architectural style that blends clay bricks with traditional woddle and dorb over stone foundations.
Lorvi greatly value hospitality, community, and politeness, even if only superficially. Hermits who close themselves off from the community or those who refuse to offer housing to travellers are highly stigmatized. A common phrase in their capital city of Alnuk is,
"If a stranger tracks mud onto your home. Clean his boots."
Clothing
Traditional Lorvi clothes are tightly fitting, silk or linen leggings and pantaloons, partly out of necessity because of the insect pests that live in the marshlands surrounding Alnuk. Notably, there is little to no sexual dimorphism in Lorvi dress.
A current fashion trend in Alnuk involves layering their ones shoulders and upper torso in extra, padded half-garments giving them a distinctive silhouette.
Religion
The
Church of Penance originates from Alnuk and Lorvi are overwhelmingly Penant Atovists.
