The son of a land baron of the Osmad, young Salah Saleem was a childhood friend of Princess Nala Al-Sharaf many years ago. After a number of years, Salah returned to see his old friend, but this time as a suitor with the hopes that he would take her hand in marriage when they came of age. As a relatively timid individual, Salah kept his expectations low, thinking that the Princess would rather find some lofty prince of another faraway land to be her lover. To his amazement, the Princess accepted his hand, and the two were set to be wed. Then the Church of the Sun came...
With the love of his life vanishing from the Osmad, and his father falling for the Church of the Sun's manipulation, Salah had no choice but to become an acolyte for the Church of the Sun. While he did what the Church told him, Salah remained true to his principles and called out to the Dawnfather, worshipping the real god in secret. He held on to his hope that the Princess would return and save the nation.
Eventually, Nala did return, and Salah immediately abandoned the Church, swearing to do whatever he can to help Nala reclaim her throne. Nala, however, did not take kindly to how Salah was working for the enemy, and was reluctant to accept his aid. It seemed marriage was out of the question.
After five more years, Salah remained by Nala's side, along with Nassaire and Wolfsbane. The Church of the Sun was defeated, and Nala took her place as the Sultana. There, Salah confessed that his feelings for her had never changed. His love had never died, and everything he had done was for her well-being. There, Nala realized how pure of heart and mind her old friend was, and so she forgave him and accepted - the two were set to be wed once again.
Today, Salah is still happily married to the Sultana, and is the father of their twins. In addition to his responsibilities as the Sultana's spouse, Salah has also risen to become the head of the local sect of the Dawnfather. His unwavering faith and wisdom makes him a respectable member of the community.

History
Nala and Salah have known each other since childhood, as their family is in similar circles. Salah came to Nala as one of her suitors, hoping to rekindle their childhood relationship into something new, however, this was cut short by the arrival of the Church of the Sun. Once the Church of the Sun was defeated by Nala, the Eclipse, and her companions, Salah and Nala agreed to become wed once again.
