Veridia

The realm of Veridia is a land full of people, magic, wonders, and strife. This vast universe is the one universe in which all of the events of my campaigns take place.   The narrative is centered on the Veridian Continent, a vast landmass and home to the Veridian Empire, Ironwood Province, and Osmad Sultanate. During this era, civilization thrived and magic became widely used. This was the prime era for the adventuring party, many of whom achieved great feats and influenced the history of the land. Most of the time though, they do stupid things but that doesn't matter. While the political landscape is relatively stable, other threats such as demons, dragons, and revolutions plague the land. However, this world is also full of mysteries and legends waiting to be discovered.   The current era began over a millennia ago, when the world changed forever. Before the age of humanoids, it was dragons that ruled over all. Metallic colored dragons ruled as lords over their loyal subjects, while chromatic colored dragons dominated as despots, enslaving their lessers. A tentative truce between the opposing ideologies fell apart into the most destructive conflict ever to occur in the world since the time of the gods. The metallic dragons of good and their kingdoms, backed by their deity, the Platinum Dragon, clashed with the chromatic dragons of evil and their tyrannical overlord, Tiamat. So great was the conflict, that the gods themselves had to intervene to prevent total destruction of the world. The war finally ended when Tiamat was banished and locked away into the hells for eternity. The gods returned to their domains, leaving the mortals behind. With newfound determination, the humanoids decided the age of dragons was over, and overthrew the remaining overlords, chromatic and metallic alike, ensuring the prosperity of the humanoids for the foreseeable future. So few dragons remain, that most people believe them to be nothing more than a myth. The dragons, however, have a long lasting memory.   At the political center of the world lies the Veridian Empire. The Empire controls the northern and eastern portions of the continent. They enjoy good relations with their neighbors to the south, the Osmad Sultanate. The Sultanate controls the Osmad Desert, a dry desert on the southern part of the continent.   While the Veridian Continent has it's share of problems, it is comparatively peaceful to the other two continents of the world. The continent of Ituin is a large landmass northeast of Veridia. Also known as the Land of Never-ending Snow, Fire, and War, the continent is known for its cold temperatures, volcanoes, and an ongoing conflict between the Dithian Empire and the Vertox Monarchy. These rival nations have been battling for years, yet neither have come out on top. The other continent, Kvia, lies to the northwest of Veridia, and is mostly uninhabited, with the exception of hardy viking tribes who are solely focused on raiding each other.
