The Moon Fortress

The Moon Fortress is a large imposing stone keep within the city of Semunet. It is the home of the Moon Elf people.

Demographics

The Moon Fortress is entirely inhabited by Moon Elves. Few others are even allowed entry into the citadel, due to how Moon Elf society is greatly secretive and mistrusting of outsiders.

Government

The Moon Fortress is ruled by the four heads of the remaining Great Houses.( see Moon Elf Great Houses )

Guilds and Factions

The Moon Fortress's factions are represented by the Great Houses, House Aloro, House Galanodel, House Caerdonel, and House Xistandt, each divided by blood and school of arcane study. The four houses are supremely loyal to blood ties, making the marriages between houses vital to keep a long term period of unrest.

History

The Moon Fortress was constructed and gifted to the Moon Elf people by the Empress of The Valcoran Empire in exchange for their loyalty and agreement to join the empire as a whole. History of the Moon Fortress

Architecture

The large imposing walls of the fortress are made of stone, hauled from the bay areas at then mouths of The Flail River. A large ceiling structure runs around the inside of the walls, leaving a gap in the center several hundred feet wide. Inside are eight separate towers, each dedicated to a field of arcane study, as well as several large manor houses. A large fair park lies in the center, populated with large pines imported from The Blacklands in Koria.
