The Hunters Commission

Brought into existence to help with the survival of society and promote harmony, this organization has existed for millennia with an unaltered mission. It has without fail upheld its agenda to act as a bulwark for sentient life against all manner of dangerous creatures/monsters. The guild has strived to minimize the impact of sentient life on nature while also insuring rare & exotic creatures are not reduced to extinction. Issuing what the world at large have taken to calling "Hunts", they are sent out to perform various task and goals for its sponsors, investors, and the public at large. The guild unifies and regulates the hunting activities on which many people make their living. The guild aggregates hunting and gathering requests from far and wide, and posts them within their gathering halls and outposts throughout the land for professional hunters to undertake. These "quests" can have many purposes, including defense of citizens or towns, or research into monster anatomy and biology. On certain occasions, the guild sends out Commission Hunters and members of the other branches to investigate undiscovered creatures that fall under its purview. It also keeps a comprehensive list of all the known species and variations that are currently known to exist; this information is provided to those that are sent on the hunts in the region to help make sure they are prepared.

These "quests" can have many purposes, including defense of citizens or towns, or research into monster anatomy and biology. On certain occasions, for example, an Elder Dragon attack or a sighting of a rare or previously undiscovered monster, the Hunter's Guild itself will issue a hunting request to a specific range of hunters. The guild keeps a comprehensive list of all known monster species and variations, and will supply hunters with this information on a regional basis.

History

Brought into existence by backing from the Kratocracy Empire in the early days, it was originally designed to help protect the citizens and repel various monsters. Starting as a fledgling guild in the year 600, at its beginning it was community of Dragonborn seeking to survive alongside Valknut in her rise to ascendancy. Eventually the constant hunts started to wear and reduced the Dragonborn numbers and so they petitioned the fledgling Kratocracy Empire for support and number in exchange for becoming associated with the Empire to be; it worked and they were granted status as on of the first official guilds with their resources to flourish. For next three hundred years, the guild quickly grew in reach and renown, prompting the Dragonborn to open it for everyone to join as a Commission Hunter. It was also determined the positions of leadership in the guild would be reserved for the Dragonborn as they became the minority overall but still wanted to maintain control of their creation.
Over the next several centuries, they use the renown and and wealth they generated to build the Citadel of the Hunter Commission just within distance of the capital city of the Empire. From here, the Dragonborn leadership developed the tactics and gathered the experienced members it would need to continue the service it was providing and to further their own goals of trying to restore the harmony with nature.

Guild Arbiters: The main job of a Guild Arbiters is to hunt down poachers, other illegal hunters, and wanted murderers; bringing them to justice, typically by killing them. This also applies to hunters that break the rules of the Hunter's Guild. If an emergency situation happens during their post, Guild Arbiters try to keep order by acting as leaders. guild knights have been also known to act as negotiators for settlements and collect info on monsters unknown to the public. In each district and outpost of the The Hunters Commission, there can be at least twelve arbiters in one location at a time though there can sometimes be less. Who the arbiters are is mostly unknown to the common members of the guild. Preferring to keep their job a secret, many of the guild arbiters do other jobs within the guild, acting as receptionists, Commission Hunters, teachers, or merchants.
