The current and ongoing epoch, which was unofficially named the Rise of Civilization. Though the epoch is young, it has felt older than its years due to the lightning progress of technology. This epoch has so far been characterized as a period of relative peace, civilization, and globalization. International trade networks are solidifying, and the roles of the major nations of the world are settling. Wars are still fought, large and small, yet stability has prevailed in many places. The Logicmasters have pioneered a number of technologies, and countries such as Corenthia are spearheading into heavy industrialism, a prospect that some would say offers modern comforts, while others call unsustainable destruction.
Despite this seeming peace and stability, troubles remain. Religious tensions have never seemed higher, like a steeping pot begging to unleash its steam. The Naiathel Empire appeared quite suddenly, an aquatic society previously unknown to the overland nations, and made their presence known in an extravagant show of force, with large scale conflicts often breaking out between them and the Arbethian Kingdom. Many wonder whether the Naiathel will turn their ambitions elsewhere. The wars between the Shasarek Shogunate and Elven Princedom seem to know no end, and despite all the technology and progress that has been made, the true mysteries of this world remain a secret.
With every new discovery, the world realizes how little it yet knows. With every new technology, the world faces unforeseen consequences. In the midst of these paradigm shifts, will it all collapse to chaos, or crystallize to splendor?
