Historic Gods
The Historic Gods are the original known Gods of the planes. Valles who came from sparks, created the planes and birthed 2 children from aether; the galactical dragons Xinvarrex and Ishitar. While their history is known to be the beginning of everything, they have been silent for millennia. Many may follow their ways and ideals; however, they are considered to be "dead gods". Those that would follow them follow younger gods that are more inline with individual beliefs.
Inevitable Gods
Sometimes known as the "Mights of Valles", The inveitable gods are the creators of Vallestar. They created the land, the seas, the water, the winds, the fauna and the flora, and all other natural occurances and weather throughout the world. Some believe they are still part of the planet, others think they were "retired" or became dormant with the arrival of the Ancients. It is believed that a global war between the Ancients and the Inevitables (Known as the Great Ancient War) for control of Vallestar took place many years ago, with the Ancients being the victors. Not much else is known about them.
Ancient Gods
The Ancient gods are those that were called upon or created by Valles to maintain Ishitar's impriosnment. In return for their favor, the gods would be given domain over the world to control as they intended. In the beginning the planet was desolate and empty; a young planet that life was just beginning to grow on. As lore has it, Each was gifted a large natural structure in honor of their presence. Prior to their arrival, the planet was inhabited by the Inevitable Gods and their creations. Valles wanted to be sure the planet could maintain balance, so the goes he commissioned were chosen based on what they can offer, and their alignments.

Emotion Gods
Over time, protecting this world became mundane to the Ancients. They began to grow impatient and instead of feeling like they reigned over the planet, they felt as though thy were trapped. They needed something to rule, to command, to defy them; they needed civilization. They decided to call upon the stars to create the races of Vallestar. The Emotion Gods were created to allow the population to feel emotion and give them the social tools needed to build today's society. Unbeknownst to the Ancients, the Emotion Gods would eventually obtain their own sets of followers.
Champions
There are 4 ways to become a champion. (From most common to rarest)Once mortals, these "god-touched" have become the champions of different geo-locations that and act as a conduit between the gods and the population of Vallestar. Each of them have competed against or have been chosen by prior champions to take their place. Each champion is gifted the ability of agelessness, as well as certain powers depending on their capabilities and the god they represent; also, they are more powerful when in the domain they are champion of. The gods whom have current champions are more powerful in the current world, as well as more prevelant. Anyone can become a champion by being chosen by another champion to replcae them, or winning in a competition ovserved by atleast 3 gods with current champions. While it is the most noble title a mortal can hold, it may cost you your life... and your soul.
When a champion leaves thier role by passing it on to someone else, they have the option to ascend and hold power within the aetheral plane, or they can have their powers passed on, and live the rest of their life normally as a mortal. If a champion is challenged they must except and the tournament must take place within 700 days from the challenge. If either dies during combat, it is up to the gods observing the combat what happens to their soul. Some say the soul of the inferior is added as a link of chain that keep Ishitar imprisoned; others say, their soul becomes a servant of one of the observing gods, and others believe their soul is added as aether magic that exists throughout Vallestar.
CHALLENGE: You challenge a chamion and are judged by the 3 observing gods to be the winner. FAVORED: A champion finds you to be worthy of taking their place and a consult is observed and judged by 5 "championed" gods, not including the chamion's patron. DISPERSED: A champion has chosen to step down, but has not chosen their replacement, or their replacement has been deemed unworthy by themselves and 2 other championed gods. The god will then choose their next champion DISHONORED: A champion has greatly disrespected or malicioulsy went against their god, or their own alignment. In this case their punishment is to be stripped of their powers and anything else the gods feel fit. That god can then choose their new champion.
