The Shield

Appointment

Must have been a member of the Defender's Guild and in good standing within the community. Must be an adult Kobold. The Shield is chosen from within the Defender's Guild by a general vote of the guild members.

Duties

Beyond the duties of their profession, they are responsible for ensuring that the village is well protected. They are responsible for generating, acquiring and researching means with which to protect the tribe. They over see the training of the tribe's defenders and choose which Kobolds will be responsible for that training.

Benefits

They are afforded 2 shares of the village wealth when ever goods are being divided through out the village.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Those within the Advisor position or the Chieftain can challenge the Shield, but they are required to prove to the adults of the village that the Shield has not been working in the tribe's best interest. The adults of the village then decide if the Shield is worthy to continue their service. If it is decided that they are not, they are killed.
