The Sage

Appointment

Must have been a member of the Mage's Guild and in good standing within the community. Must be an adult Kobold. The Sage is chosen from within the Mage's Guild by a general vote of the guild members.

Duties

Beyond the duties of their profession, they are responsible for ensuring that all the Kobolds that have magical talent are properly trained in the art. They are responsible for selecting the teachers. They are also responsible for the magical knowledge within the tribe. This includes the few magic tombs that they own and the master scrolls which are the scrolls that are kept to be copied from.

Benefits

They are afforded 2 shares of the village wealth when ever goods are being divided through out the village.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Those within the Advisor position or the Chieftain can challenge the Sage, but they are required to prove to the adults of the village that the Sage has not been working in the tribe's best interest. The adults of the village then decide if the Sage is worthy to continue their service. If it is decided that they are not, they are killed.
