The Accountant
Appointment
Must have been a member of the Merchant's Guild and in good standing within the community. Must be an adult Kobold. The Accountant is chosen from within the Merchant's Guild by a general vote of the guild members.
Duties
Beyond the duties of their profession, they are responsible for allocating the wealth among the tribe’s Guilds and also deciding how resources should be spent to strengthen the tribe’s position in the world. Experts offer a steady stream of proposals for augmenting the tribe’s underground village and expanding their influence with the other Shadow Kind. Kobold scholars, priests, and arcane spellcasters similarly propose areas where kobold knowledge and power can be increased to lucrative effect. Those within the Defender's Guild recommend feasible and beneficial ways to protect the tribe. The Accountant must weigh all these options and choose where to devote assets. In general, they are responsible for the wealth of the tribe.
Benefits
They are afforded 2 shares of the village wealth when ever goods are being divided through out the village.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Those within the Advisor position or the Chieftain can challenge the Accountant, but they are required to prove to the adults of the village that the Accountant has not been working in the tribe's best interest. The adults of the village then decide if the Accountant is worthy to continue their service. If it is decided that they are not, they are killed.
