Edane
The largest continent in Unorrea, the fact that most Edanian’s claim their land to be the birthplace place of mankind is more traditional belief and national pride than it is actually supported by historical evidence. That said, the location of significant history events and locations does much to lend to the credence of the claim.
Geography
Being the largest continent in the world has it privileges, among them the fact that geographically speaking it is as varied as Unorrea itself. The central parts of the continent are mostly plains and wetlands (specifically around the great lake). Along the coastlines in the east and the west one will find fertile lands, massive forests, beautiful beaches and breathtaking cliff sides. In the North and the South are the Luminous Mountains and the Mountains of Creation respectively, each with rolling hills and hinterlands at their feet. And in the far north, beyond the Luminous Mountains is the Plane of Ice, a tundra not anywhere near as large as the Kazus Wastes, but just as frozen.
Fauna & Flora
Edane is almost the size of both North and South Equikora combined, and as such it has a run of the mill on flora and Fauna, running anywhere from the Aldir like Taiga in the norther parts, to lush jungles in the midsection near the coasts, highlands near the mountains and an arid plane akin to a dessert in the central part. Almost any living animal in Unorrea can be found in Edane (with the sole exception of the more...exotic animals found in South Equikora as a result of the Convergence).
Natural Resources
Edane's various regions and biospheres run the full gamut of rich with resources to completely devoid of any all depending on the region which one is talking about. Primarily the continent is rich with fertile land, valuable minerals, precious metals and everything in between. (Discussed in further detail on the Shayador Empire Article.)
