Malkav
(a.k.a. The blood or Red knight)
The Vampire blacksmith of Talthorn, Malkav was made a perfect warrior via the Phervian perfection program. Malkav is the sworn protector of Talthorn with prejudice against Paladins of Akoom
Early History
Born Human to a blacksmith, Malkav spent his youth learning his father's trade as a blacksmith. When he was in his late teens he was taken by Lagrigoyi to be part of the perfection program to make the perfect slave, Malkav being selected for the soldier improvements due to his strength. During the experiments Malkav met a young Eva, becoming fast friends. The experiments were a disaster, with most minds shattering under the experiments, Malkav's own mind was said to suffer, becoming confused and volatile. While most others were put down due to the increased volatility, Malkav's friendship with Eva seemed to control the worst of it. Lagrigoyi decided to take Malkav in to see if he could cure his mind, a feat Eva actually managed rather than their master, though it did leave him with a taste for blood.Blood knight
Taking up the position he was meant for, Malkav was often seen as a towering figure in dark red plate mail that he made himself, earning him the name Blood knight. Malkav also served as the main guardian to Eva, leading to a rumor among the other slaves that they had a secret relationship, a rumor that was given more fuel when, despite having free reign to feed on any slave, he didn't seem to take up any of the young women on their offers. During the Slave revolts Malkav fought at the siege of Drake Vil and the sacking of Zigarith, though in both cases he was only there temporally, presumably getting someone out. He was however present at the battle of Drakes way, defending his master. After the battle he disappeared for a hundred years before showing up in the village of Talthron, opening the Bloodiorn smithy.Talthorn
Though met originally with suspicion, he was accepted into the village after he ran out a group of bandits. Over the ages, he has acted as the small village's protector, training militia and taking on more difficult foes, all while working as a blacksmith. Paladins were banned from the blacksmith, with Malkav seemingly having a deep hatred for them. During the crisis of the Fey age, he was one of only a handful of smiths still able to create spell focus.
