Talthorn
A small village towards the west of the lowlands is often a stop for those traveling through the area. Surrounded by several husbandry farms, Talthorn takes advantage of the foothills of the Dragon-Teeth mountains. Most houses are scattered on the outskirts with a central gathering area that is used as a market space. This also holds an inn, the Bloodhorn forge, and an ancient temple to the Father, it's patron god.
History
Pre founding
Records show the temple of the Father was the first structure on this site. Small farms sprang up around the area, all focusing more on raising livestock than crops during the Draconic empire, only for the Phervian to completely abandon the area. During the slave revolts, this was the site of an early battle between the newly formed silver legion and the Phervian. The Phervian won with the use of cavalry using wild horses found in the area.Founding
After the slave revolts ended a small group of Halflings journeyed to the area, setting up a few animal husbandry farms. While the village was raided a lot in its infancy, this was until Malkav, the red knight figure arrived. Driving off bandits and setting up the forge.Resistance to the Empire
As the Empire pushed north, they consolidated many villages of the lowlands. When it came to Talthorns, the red knight exacted a heavy toll on them. Though many of the outlying farms submitted, the center stayed empire free throughout the Empire's time.The petty Kingdoms
After the Empire, several kingdoms rose and fell in the region, though Talthorn did fall under their dominion a certain amount of independence was always granted, being able to police itself.Crisis of the Fey age
During the crises of the Fey age, several petty lords squabble over the region, with the Paladins away in the north the red knight once again enforces Talthorn's independence among these lords.
