Inheritance
The party travelled back to Dane’s hometown and checked in on the people there. They had regained their memories and gotten drunk, panicking over the revelations. The party spent the night at Dane’s old house and ingratiating themselves with his family. The next day they teleported to Myth Dranor, with Dane deciding to catch up with them in Cormyr.
Mith is technically the long-lost crown prince of Myth Dranor, so we went and visited his family. His father had developed dementia, and Mith was asked to step up and start acting like an heir. Myth Dranor is underground, and with the daily trip to the surface already passed, the party spent the rest of the day shopping, researching, etc. That night, Larkspur, through Shadow’s eyes, saw an assassin slit the throat of a guard. They promptly teleported into the hallway and started yelling bloody murder, because there was, in fact, a bloody murder. The party then began to fight off the assassins, and discovered there was a full on coup happening.
The party managed to fight their way through a lot of assassins and save the king and prevent the queen from being kidnapped. They interrogated several of the assassins left behind and found the location of the rebel hideout. After further research, the party discovered that the rebels were mostly Drow who were, frankly, very justified in their revolution against the monarchy. O’Harrier snuck in to try to find a diplomatic solution and had a conversation with Ms. Rain and found out that the rebels were being backed by Ahm Empire. In return, Ahm would gain access to Myth Dranor's mithril resources for their planned war against Cormyr. Somewhere in here the party also discovered that the Drow Rebellion was being led by Queen Shuefing Estar's bastard half-drow son, Zacan.
While Harrier was trying to find a peaceful solution, Lux and Alkizarr snuck away from the palace and into the hideout to cause chaos and succeeded, causing the rebels to cease their tentative peace talks with O'Harrier. During this period, King Fanorth Estar had one last conversation with Mith and died. The party planned a speech at the local library decrying the brutality the drow and faced and promising a better tomorrow under Mith. During this speech, Zacan showed up with his rebels and managed to turn the whole gathering, including the ruling council of Myth Dranor, to stone. He unfroze them slowly, giving the option of join the rebels or die. Some died.
Zacan told the party that at the request of his mother, Mith and his friends would be allowed to leave the city if they wished. The party was inches away from walking away, Mith have negative interest in the crown and throne, when O'Harrier yelled out that Ahm was supporting them in order to attack Cormyr. Lux and Larkspur both went into full attack mode at this pronouncement. The rest of the party joined in the fray, with Larkspur and Lux flanking Zacan in an attempt to kill him.
Zacan very nearly killed them first, dropping Lux to 0 hp and beheading Larkspur. When Lux went down, he saw the Fall of the Pendragons and Larkspur had an interaction with Tasha*. Lux returned, seeming possessed by yet another entity, with a massive storm of vengeance swirling around him killing many of the innocent bystanders. Larkspur snapped back and continued attacking, using their familiar to see. Eventually the party managed to drop Zacan, who was teleported out by allies. Mith and Alkizarr both died in the process. The city was in shambles and O'Harrier, shaken by the violence the party had displayed, left to help put the city back together.
The party raided the castle for some supplies to help Gira cast reincarnate on their fallen party members. They were also found by Cribbins, an agent of Cormyr sent to deal with the growing threat to their country who gave them a safe place to rest. He also reattached Larkspur's head, although could not restore their vision. When speak with dead was used, Alkizarr declined being brought back into a new shape, while Mith agreed. Unfortunately, Mith's tinfoil hat had captured his soul, resulting in a fully-grown leonine with a brand-new soul being brought back. Lux glued the tinfoil hat to the leonine's head allowing Mith to pilot the body.
The party began to make their way out of the city, following Iglacia, a guide Cribbins had hired. At their first rest, after fighting their way through some people-sized pitcher plants with jewels at their heart, Dane, having been contacted by a mildly panicking party, used a successful divine intervention to summon the whole party to him. In a touching scene, he ressurected both Alkizarr and Yedaia, Lachnai's younger sister. He then departed to follow the invitation of Vesper to meet more incarnated Entities, being gathered by John Carter. Mith also left to get used to this new body and live his life.
*After they were beheaded, Larkspur had a vision of themself walking through a fall forest. They found their way to a cottage with chicken legs and entered. Therein, they had a conversation with Tasha, who warned them that the hags they had made a deal were planning to eat them. If Larkspur made a deal to join Tasha's coven instead, she could help them kill the hags. She also showed Larkspur a vision of their sister, Daisy, who was holding back The Wyrm and slowly failing. Larkspur passed their ring of telekinesis over to their sibling to help them and took Tasha's deal. The named this newformed coven the Crown of Eyes and took the name Scientia.
