Very, very chipper and optimistic. Probably the child of some weird-ass cult, that we and he don’t know much about, but it has something to do with the Staff of Sacrifice
Has a soul that looks like an endless abyss into which red and gold threads spiral into and vanishes.

Edit: Likely the manifestation of the passage of time, brought into existence by a cult.
Edit: Raised by the cult until the age of nine. When he was five, the cult began to do a ritual, maybe to sacrifice him. When Dane was ripped away from his mother, screaming, he used his power to revert everything to his child-self’s definition of normal. He also wiped everyone, including his own, memories of the event. This persisted until he went adventuring and reunited with his shadow, trapped in the forever woods.(See Shadow Memories)
