Terry is a Nymph who grew up in the The Great Forest with his father. He often hung out with his cousin Jacinta, her bestie Patricia and their friend Nada . He also had a Forest Elf friend named Ben.
At noon, between the sleeping groans of Marma Oaks, Terry and Ben would compete in short games. Ben could not stay long as he had a job as a guard of the Punishment Tower, and thus they only played at lunchtimes. That was until Ben was gravely wounded during an attempted rescue of prisoners from the Punishment Tower. The plan failed, but Ben was unconscious for a long time.
Terry's father is a merchant, and traveled Turien often, leaving Terry with his sister. Thus, Terry played with his cousin and their friends most of the time.
The Hero Steve had interacted with Terry's father here and there, thus when he was looking for Nymphs to join the All-Races Classroom he spoke to him first. Terry's father agreed that Terry should go, as Terry had been missing his Elven friend a lot and maybe some other friends would help him to look forward to Ben's recovery as opposed to staying stuck in sadness. Terry's father encouraged Terry to go, suggesting that Ben would want to hear stories of all the new things Terry has seen (including the new games he can find and come up with). This lightened Terry's eyes and grew a large number of twisting twigs from his head as Terry thought about the Human games he may be able to introduce to Ben.
In the times that Terry's father spoke to Hero Steve, he let out the strangeness of Terry's Nymph friends' powers. He didn't mean to say anything about them to anyone, but Steve has a way of getting out information with pleasantness. This would be why all four Nymphs ended up in the Classroom.
Inside the classroom, Terry finds out about the written word. Through weekend exploration of the city, he finds a public library. And inside the library, a female from his school (from another classroom, possibly a year younger?) finds him and ends up helping him study. She, too, is a quiet student that observes more than she speaks. The two form a lovely friendship that eventually makes it their schoolyard as well (it is a surprisingly long time until they have an actual conversation at the school).

Family
Like most Nymphs, Terry was raised by a single parent. In Terry's case, it was his father. However, after a few years, Terry's father went back to his merchant ways, after seeing how well Terry played with his niece. His sister was often with her friend and the both of them watched over the four Nymph children (including the Half-Fairy-Nymph Nada, who often kept a closer watch on the full Nymphs and helped look after them). So, he wasn't worried. Plus, the looks Terry would give him as he spoke of his travels melted his heart (real reason he went merchanting again - to collect more stories for his son).Defining Features
Always making weird challenges, that tends to brighten almost any mood. He has green hair and is a lovely-looking child. Many twigs escape from him as he concentrates on a single thing.Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Terry agreed with his father to attend the All-Races Classroom with his cousin and their friends. He hoped there would be some new fun things he could try and possibly compete in these things with other students.
Similar to Nada, he also found that learning was a fun thing in itself, and having an academic 'quiet space' was nice. He also makes a new friend in the library that he wants to keep interacting with and happily follows the suggested pathway to become a member of the Inter-racial Research Team.
