Samurai Nakae Niyoshi (a.k.a. 中江 二吉)

Summary

A samurai who loyally served the Tachibana Clan from a young age. Nakae Niyoshi was a cut above the average foot soldier, and was often granted special permissions and jobs. Most common among these were guarding important generals, or standing sentry at meetings of the clan's elite. Being a sturdy, straightforward sort, Niyoshi saw these opportunities as great honors and performed his best at all of them. He continues even now to train relentlessly with the heavy spear, always striving to be just a little bit better than his friend and rival, Uchida Shigeie. Despite the effort he's clearly put in, he seems to lack the ambition to ever become more than just a ranking soldier, however.
