History

Following the treacherous actions of the Stonesmiths and the assassination of Nulgin Magrannor, Nulgin's son Mulldoon and General Bardil Steelfist were forced avoid their hometown. Gathering forces loyal to Mulldoon as the next Mgrannor they jioned Burban Shieldwright at Anvilbright mine. There they fortified their position in order to stave off attacks from both the traitors and the hobgoblins who had launched the Unstoppable Invasion   When the invasion ended, Mulldoon and his allies found they had no realistic prospect of ousting the traitorous Stonesmiths. Rather than waste lives on a futile conflict Mulldoon decided to relinquish the name Magrannor and led his followers in search of a new home in the western part of the mountains.   A ruined fortress became a new home for the Anvilbrights, once it was cleared of hobgoblins. The original structure had been built by dwarven hands judging by the surviving rooms undergtound, lending the place. a feeling of home. However, it wasn't long before forces from Caresnas started encroaching.   Several skirmishes resulted in casualties on both sides and it seemed certain that the more violence would follow. Fortunately the Church of Tarin stepped in to act as mdeiators. An artificial being made of stone, wood and metal arrived at the new Anvilbright Halls bringing an offer of talks, with the safety of participants guaranteed by the church.

Anvilbright Accord   The Agreement barely raised a murmur in Caresnas. Despite a general hatred for dwarves of the Magrannor Halls the people of Caresnas had grown used to a group of elves that had rebelled against their own kind. The Anvilbrights were viewed in the same light, regardless of the dwarves' real reasons for breaking away from Clan Magrannor.   Gaining an ally to bolster the defences of the north and prevent a repeat of the Unstoppable Invasion was worth a great deal to Caresnas, especially with continuing trouble on the southern border. As a result many of the early trade agreements of the back of this accord were weighted in the Anvilbright's favour.
End of Darkness
This agreement also served as the basis for bringing the Anvilbright dwarves into the discussion about the End of Darkness Expedition. This resulted in the Anvilbrights agreeing to help deal with one of the breaches.
