Visoran War

The Visoran War is an ongoing conflict between the Visoran Army and the CKGs. It began roughly five years ago when the CKGs discovered the Visoran Army conquering nearby planets and is currently leaning in the Visorans' favor.

The Conflict

Deployment

When the Visorans began their campaign to conquer the galaxy, they expected very little

resistance. When a patrol of CKG Pilots stumbled on the Visorans attacking a small planet, CKG leadership knew that, stationed perfectly between Visor and Zenricho, they would be attacked next. The leaders chose to stand up to the army and
began the war, which has continued for five years and is no longer in their favor.

Battlefield

The Visoran War has taken place mostly in space and involved mostly pilots and starships. Occasional battles have been fought on moons, large asteroids, and even on Geranium as the Visorans grow closer to defeating the CKGs. A digital war has also begun as the Visorans use their Data Spies to attack the CKGs' information files and communication networks in an effort to destabilize them.

Conditions

The Visorans have repetitively attempted to get the CKGs to surrender, offering worse terms every time they offer. The one constant of these messages is allowing the Visorans to control their planet and for all CKGs to submit to the Visorans' rule. The CKGs have sent back similar offers of surrender, with the same demand every time: the Visoran Army must return to Visor and return freedom to the planets they have conquered.

The Engagement

Once the CKGs declared that they would oppose the Visorans, war broke out. The Visorans were forced to focus on the CKGs instead of the rest of the galaxy and their campaign was halted. Instead of conquering planets left and right, they engaged the CKGs at almost every turn. The CKGs did their best to confront the Visorans whenever possible, all the time reporting to the IPA what was happening. The IPA has remained skeptical and so the CKGs are on their own as they battle the Visorans in space, on moons, and even on their own planet as the Visorans slip past their defenses.   The Visorans grow closer to defeating the CKGS, and still, they fight on, determined not to lose. Even as the Visorans capture and brainwash their own, even as spies betray their weaknesses, and even as pilot after pilot falls in battle, they will fight. Even as the odds turn against them, they fight.

Strength

The CKGs are highly skilled and trained. Their age often makes opponents underestimate them. They also have the advantage of fighting to protect their homes and families.
The Visorans have the advantage of numbers on their side. Most of their fighters are also older and stronger. They also have more access to weapons and technology.

Casualties

Since the war began, the CKGs have lost approximately 400 members to the Visorans.
About 2,000 casualties since they engaged the CKGs.

Objectives

The CKGs aim to prevent the Visorans from conquering more of the galaxy and push them back to their home planet, freeing the planets they have already conquered.
Led by General Karol, the Visorans are attempting to conquer the galaxy and destroy organizations in their way. The CKGs are preventing them from reaching their goal and must therefore die.

Author's Notes

I've never actually written a military conflict before, so I followed the template pretty closely. I probably won't do that again because I don't know if it fits well like that. (Was that a Princess Bride quote under objectives? Only I know ;)
