Celebrant (KEHL-ehb-rent)
Celebrant is a second generation Celestial with the aspect of lightning. He is the son of Oralia, Celestial of air, and the husband of Rohana, Celestial of knowledge. He is known for his calm nature.
Rohana and Celebrant's two children are rarely mentioned, but they are known to be Eternals. Many scholars suspect them to be the mysterious Dareth and Jessica, Celestials of youth and childhood. Celebrant and Rohana appear in several myths together across the galaxy, but are often seen alone. Celebrant prefers to spend long stretches of time in one place, while Rohana enjoys traveling and seeing the world. Their strange arrangement works for them and they are known as one of the steadiest Celestial couples.
Celebrant frowned. The expression looked wrong on his face, like it wasn't usually there. "Don't you remember? I saved you. I held that man's gun and stopped him from shooting you. I couldn't save anyone else but you."
History
Celebrant is Oralia's only son and, in fact, her only child at all. Nothing is known about his father. Celebrant was possibly born sometime around 7000 BPC and was raised by his parents. Oralia adored her son and Naida wrote a lullaby for her to sing to him. Little is known about Celebrant's childhood, but he is known to get along with many second generation Celestials like Conri, Everett, and Nelson, so it is likely that his mother brought him to visit her friends.Celebrant spent most of his life prior to the Celestial War with his mother. When Rohana sought Love's protection, Oralia and the other Elemental Celestials were among the first to be told of her escape. Love revealed her vision to the other Celestials, causing an immediate divide between them all. Celebrant and his mother joined sides with Love and Celebrant met Rohana. He was one of the first after Love to reach out and offer kindness.
The Celestial War was a devastating event in the life of every Celestial at the time, doubly so for Celebrant, who lost his mother to the devastation. In the aftermath of the war, he and Rohana latched onto each other and became friends. They married a few years after the war and would be the last two Celestials to ever be married.
Magic & Powers
Celebrant's powers are well-known and related to his domain. He is only listed as the Celestial of lightning, but he also has elemental magic relating to wind and rain. He has adamantly denied the domain of storms, claiming that "Thora" and a future person manage that aspect. With his own domain, Celebrant is able to create and control lightning by will. He is able to prevent it from hurting people, change its color, and use it to manipulate various things. Because of the Mind-Body Link, he
Thora and I overlapped at times, but no more than many Celestials do. She stirred the waves, churned the skies, and caused the storms. I was limited to the singularity of lightning. I am younger than her, though. So are you, but you are a Guardian. You are different.

Appearance & Renderings
Celebrant is described as a tall young man in his mid-twenties with golden hair and fair skin. He wears whatever clothing is typical of the planet he is on, usually upper- or middle-class garments. His eyes are bright blue. He has an average build and easily forgettable features. His demeanor in most pieces of art suggests a willingness to blend into the background and only be noticed by those who care. Celebrant appears in several artworks about the Celestial War. He is never pictured far from his mother or Rohana's side. One illustration shows him surrounded by lighting, his eyes glowing in rage, likely an imagining of Celebrant's reaction to his mother's death. Following the war, Celebrant appears often with Rohana but begins to fade out after 2500 BPC. Pictures of him alone or with other people can be found on Lannon and Laval. Neither he nor Rohana is ever shown with their children. There has never been a reason for our connection to be known. Father always said it would put us in danger. From who, we did not know, but Mother often had a look in her eyes that said she knew what it was like to be used against one's parents.
