Tulia Greyhard Character in Toriel | World Anvil

Tulia Greyhard

"I am a half-blooded dwarf, yet I am also a half-blooded halfling. I may have inherited the smile and eyes of my mother, but I've also hesitated the strength and willpower of my father, Never will one told me what to do, because, despite this heritage, I am the queen of the small people!"

Queen of the Lightfoot Land

Tulia Greyhard is the queen of the Lightfoot Kingdom , and the daughter of Trone Frozen, king of the dwarves. Sovereign of the Lightfoot Kingdom, she rules over the small people without distinction, and her family always did since the union of those people. Her family was already leading the halfling before the official union, the union only providing an official title. She alone has the strongest decision-making power in the country and has a half-dwarf, I seem like she inherited the stubbornness of her father, as she single-handedly takes care of numerous decisions ad actions.

History

Daughter of Trone frozen, the current dwarven king, and of Leana Greyhard, the previous Queen of the Lightfoot Kingdom. The union of the representatives of the two nations did not seal a lasting union but was the spark of a war to come. The king, Trone Frozen, had to fight for years to be allowed to marry, but the marriage was short-lived, as young Tulia's mother died in childbirth. With the death of their queen, the people of Lightfoot Kingdom claimed the child's right of succession, but the dwarves refused to let the child take the throne.   Nevertheless, the child managed to return to her mother's land, rising tensions between the two nations. Each claimed the girl as part of their royalty. The mixed-blooded child, inheriting her father's character, decided to take what was due to her and ascended to the throne. The target of multiple kidnapping attempts, she stood strong, and accessed the power, becoming the queen, and resulting in the Blood War.

Trial of the Adventurers

In the spring of 1134 AD, a group of diplomate came to Oakhearth, capital of the Lightfoot Kingdom, in order to discuss the term of the partnership between the Lightfoot Kingdom and Tana's Empire to gather support against the growing threat of the Green Earth. The diplomatic mission, in an attempt to display the empire's might, was escorted by famous adventurers.   The adventurer, playing an active role in the negotiation, uncovered a dark monster hidden deep beneath the city. A beholder was spreading its influence over the great council, controlling Alton Goodbarrel, an important member of the kingdom's great council. Sadly, this quest against the monster lead to numerous unfortunate events, including the death of Nessarya Jenssen, that was later resurrected, the explosion of a house in the middle of the capital, the death of numerous guards, the murder of multiple guards who defended a private proprieties, etc.   With those events, the queen was forced to intervene, overseeing the trial of those adventurers. The adventurers trying to prove their innocence, and to incriminate two members of the great council. After a long trial, the adventurers were banned from the country, the relation between the Adventurers guild and the guards of Oakhearth deteriorating due to this incident, and the two incriminated council members were also banned from the country, and their noble titles were taken from them.
