History

Sailor's Life

Rudy was once a sailor before he embraced the life of a pirate. His daily toil involved transferring cargo from the ship's hold to the harbor and warehouse, all while earning a meager wage. However, his fate took a different turn when his curiosity got the better of him. One day, while moving crates, he decided to peek inside one and discovered a trove of fabrics. Intrigued, he pocketed a piece.   Just a couple of days later, Rudy managed to sell the fabric, amassing a small fortune through his illicit act. It was then that he realized his honest labor wasn't adequately compensating him for his efforts, prompting him to shift toward more lucrative ventures. He began pilfering and selling merchandise from the vessels he worked on.   These actions introduced Rudy to the company of dubious individuals and familiarized him with the clandestine network within Boralus. This sequence of events gradually led him to establish connections with pirates and collaborate closely with them. Eventually, he bid farewell to his life as a sailor, fully immersing himself in the realm of piracy.

Pirate's Life

Rudy's piratical journey unfolded aboard the Sea Ghost, a ship adept at clandestinely transporting goods between Boralus and Nicodranas. Within this role, he fostered camaraderie with fellow crew members, including the second-in-command, Sam Bellamy.   In the year 1135 AD of Lothron, Bellamy embarked on a novel venture to the Diver's Grave, aiming to claim profound treasures. The inaugural expedition achieved a measure of success, motivating Sam to strive for her personal ship and the concomitant autonomy it symbolized. Rudy, alongside Wellan, stood as an integral part of her inner circle, and the trio hatched a scheme to commandeer a considerably larger vessel.   In collaboration, the trio meticulously devised a two-fold strategy: first, they intended to liberate incarcerated mutineers from the Garrot, the three-masted ship they aimed to acquire, thereby assembling a capable crew; second, they planned to infiltrate and abscond with the ship, evading pursuing naval forces in the process.   Nonetheless, complications arose during the initial step of freeing potential crew members. The liberation effort inadvertently triggered an explosion, resulting in harbor's captaincy collapsing. Consequently, a city-wide manhunt was set in motion, forcing the pirates to hastily seek refuge and mask their identities. Despite these setbacks, bolstered by Wellan's encouragement, they resolutely committed to their plan. Urgency compelled them to the harbor, where they commandeered the Garrot through force, deftly navigating the waters while wreaking havoc. Their swift maneuvers allowed them to elude capture, eventually outpacing their pursuers.
