Personal history
Yengchu was born in central Sinofis in 385 AC, the eldest child of two Zaimyalkee immigrants. Her parents owned a small cafe in the city centre, and a young Yengchu would regularly help out there after school. Her childhood was marked by no big events, but an aggregate of smaller incidents - one of her parents would consistently need to drop by her school at lunch times to make sure she wasn't being bullied, which awkwardly made the bullying worse.
A reputation for being an emotional do-gooder would fade into her teens, as she developed an ambition to become a member of the Sinofis City Guard. This likely came about due to a violent Vosti man causing a ruckus in the family cafe, making the guard a regular and calming presence.
She began training as a member of the guard shortly after finishing school in 403, and quickly proved to be skilled, becoming an official guard in 405. This is when she took the second name 'Nuulje', in line with Elven custom - this became her de facto surname as a result. This made is easy for her to be confused for some of her elven coworkers, as many of them had the same 'surname'.
This changed in 407 when she married her girlfriend, Larnani Favel, and hyphenated her 'surname' to include hers. They had their first son in 409, and their second in 412.
Her time as a guard was mostly an uneventful rise through the ranks due to her diligence and aptitude of protective magic, with her first 'bad' mission occurring in 411. A routine beat in a neighbourhood turned violent after her and her partner were jumped by a gang of hounds, causing a fight which attracted heavy attention from around the city. The two sustained heavy injuries, with initial responders believing Yengchu had died defending her partner.
She slowly recovered, and marked the occasion with a third name - Mólikei, meaning 'survivor'. She returned to full active duty in 412, before taking a brief break to help look after her second son, and remains an active member of the Sinofis City Guard. She has played a prominent role in two major incidents in recent years - The Koshi Incident, and the subsequent arrest of Támjol Eliodan, both in 414 AC.

Employment
Before beginning her training to become a member of the guard, Yengchu worked part-time at her parent's cafe from 400 to 403 as a paid member, and did a variety of odd jobs relating to the cafe before that. Many of her co-workers suspect that if her "criminal rehabilitation scheme" is deemed successful, she'll be promoted further to Colonel.
