The Stargell family

The Stargell family are regarded as, in most circles, the most famous and oldest Nightskin family who made their fortune at sea... as many of their race do... the family have been built around a duality amongst them, known in Mornarica as a family of boat builders and artificers who always work on finding new methods of designing naval transportation and an emphasis on the whole family remaining involved in the design and manufacturing process of ships no matter their wealth and success. They are based out of Mornarica and, until recently, had a very good relationship and understanding with The Catling family.
However, the other side of that duality is far less clean and clear, for the Stargell's were until recently a feared pirate name across the oceans of Thysia with a reputation for bloodthirsty brutality... often regarded as the first king and queen of pirates and staunch enemies of The Coven. That is, until almost 20 years ago, when Modorin Tellynan and Caelynn Tellynan-Stargell announced that they were retiring and taking up more peaceful adventuring in their 'older age' (despite both only being around 200 years old). None know why they had this change of heart but, after their announcement a deal was struck with The Republic of Thalasia and they were free to roam the seas as adventurers... on the condition they trained the southern navy's of Thalasia to deal with pirates.
Those close to Modorin and Caelynn claim that much of their reason for leaving behind their life of piracy was due to the lack of honour that 'modern' pirates had but also due to their desire to take a more active part in raising their nephew, Maxwell... as they realised they could not have children of their own, though that has not stopped them from travelling the world as often as possible and using their reputation to ensure more safety is afforded to Mornarica from The Islets of Thalasia.
Because of this mix in blood, the local and international opinion of the Stargell family is one they are constantly trying to change so that their work with ships is appreciated more than the crimes they committed upon them.
The current head of the Stargell family is Mirdor Stargell and his wife Shyani Stargell, though they have spent much of their time reigning in their wild son and trying to groom him to take over the family himself one day.
