League of Magic
Structure
The Council is made up of two chambers that work together and sepperately to run the magical world.
The larger chamber is the Great Council which is made up of two representatives for each state. They are responsible for debating important issues for each country and they can draft bills that are put to the Council of Strands for approval.
The Council of Strands is made up of representatives of each strand of magic. They are responsible for considering the magical implications of bills proposed by the Great Council and making alterations before it is sent back to the Great Council for them to approve.
Both councils must vote unanomously for the bill in order for it to be sent to the President of Magic to be offically signed into law.
The President of Magic is the head of the League of Magic and is elected every year from the members of the Great Council. An individual can only serve as president once in their lifetime and a country cannot have two presidents in a row to avoid corruption.

Public Agenda
They aim to unite the magical world and work in union with the United Nations to create a peaceful world for all.
History
They were set up after the First World War along with the League of Nations to try and prevent another world war, however, while the non-magical organisation was a failure the League of Magic was largely sucessful in keeping the Magic Users of its member states out of the conflict.
After the Second World War, the League of Magic allowed more states to join and worked together with the United Nations to create the Convention on Magical Secrecy to keep the Magic Users out of the non-magical people's conflicts which has worked so far.
