Upsilon Pranatais II
A large planet in the Upsilon Pranatais System, which is a Virtual Universe simulation preset.
Upsilon Pranatais II is quite large. Its surface gravity seems to depend on the species of whoever visits the world. It can range from an oberved 0g for banfranal all the way to neutron star gravity for anagons. Humans experience 1g.
Upsilon Pranatais II is filled with abandoned but not destroyed structures that makes it resemble an eucenopolis world from orbit. However, the planet's unique gimmick becomes apparent after exploring the surface for more than a few moments. It makes use of massive amounts of non-Euclidian geometry. This can make it exceptionally difficult to navigate for many organics, especially due to the many varied puzzles on the world that often block one's way. It is often used as an area for games. Many puzzle games are inspired by puzzles on Upsilon Pranatais II, but its use isn't entirely for entertainment. It was originally conceptualized because of some precursor megastructures in the Arcturus galaxy. This planet was partly to help train scientists to get used to the non-Euclidian aspects of those megastructures. It is not uncommon for one to become entirely lost on a world like this. Hyperion Federation engineers who designed the world have taken this into account: most rooms have a teleporter button that teleport the person that presses it to the North pole where they can easily teleport to their starship if any, or another planet, or quickly solve the many puzzles (which are much easier near the North pole).
