Tech Deniers

Tech deniers are a type of criminal group of Hyperion Federation society. They are most often peaceful protesters who develop a hatred of the rapidly advancing nature of Hyperion technology, but sometimes adopt a more militant strategy to get their message across, resulting in armed conflict. They become terrorists similar to the Purity of the Stars. They fight for a more constant future, seeking to keep the status quo constant. There are few tech deniers relative to other types of terrorists, but they too have a significant effect on the function of the HF.
Tech deniers have been known to become tech deniers for many reasons. These are often in protest to unethical technologies being used (refer to Hyperion Ethics Committee), disruption of life, and general protesting against the HF's culture promoting technological advancement. They are generally some of the more feared types of terrorists because of their goals - most HF cultures see advanced technology as very necessary. Science has brought them to space and allowed constructino of computers, and will be important to fighting off the Cypher Dominion and HEX Mainframe. In the opinion of the Tech Deniers, a less advanced HF would make them far less desirable to attack - and advanced HF technology is a key reason they are attacked so often.
Tech deniers can vary significantly in goals. Some are peaceful and others will cause fights. As a result, they are not very well unified at all but can sometimes team up to achieve common goals.
