Operation: Behemoth
Operation: Behemoth was the 'war' that was caused by the Alti Dominion deploying A.D.S. Behemoth for the first time into the borders of the Republic of Miasi. Although Operation: Behemoth was not officially a war, it ended shortly after the Behemoth was destroyed. As a result of the campaign, the Alti Dominion conquered about 400 star systems (which is not much for a galaxy wide setting).
This turned into a galaxy - wide conflict involving most factions of the galaxy. The Dominion, Ikagohoh Clan and their allies, VS Republic of Miasi, Anagon Technocracy, Hyperion Federation and their allies.
Miasi's allies only found out about this ship as it was about to be dedployed when the HF detected it. No faction was prepared for an invasion like this, and the Dominion rapidly attacked planet after planet. Nothing could directly destroy the Behemoth and its escorting fleets because it was well defended.
Of course, the Dominion displaced a lot of people that they conquered. They were shipped off as slaves.
To damage their enemy morale, the Dominion sent propaganda all through the communication networks of the allies. These showed the 'invincible glory of the alti fleet' as well as slave labor recorded. In some cases, some Traxilax ate other sentient species alive on camera.
However, the Anagon Technocracy deployed forces behind Alti lines. Their ships, being very small, had very little radar return signature. They slipped past the front with almost no casulties.
From there, the Anagons wrecked the logistical support of the Dominion. The HF joined in using Subspatial Starships.
The Dominion, in a move of desperation, tried to re-route their capital ship to a different supply station as the one it had a course for was destroyed by a fleet of Ghost - Class Subspatial Starships of the Anagons. This forced them to take all of the escorts of the Behemoth away into different systems.
The Behemoth was destroyed by a combined Miasi - Anagon - Hyperion fleet. The 3 factions launched a surprise attack as the HF was the only faction in the war with superluminal radar and communicaton capability.
The Miasans and hyperionites initially attacked with very fast weapons designed to drain shields - Trajectory - Class Corvettes and Ultimatum - Class Corvettes with Thunder Cannons.
The Anagons then striked the shield generators. Although the Behemoth tried switching to HEGDW ammunition, it inefficiently tried fighting off the corvettes closer to it. It accidentally fired HEGDW ammunition at non - Anagon ships, which is ineffective.
As the shields were disabled, the main force warped in. The railguns were destroyed first under the overwhelming firepower of the combined fleet. From there, they destroyed system after system as it could no longer fight back effectively.
