First Cross - Fracture War
First full - blown war fought between the Hyperion Federation and Hyperion Empire. The 2 factions fought it out in border skirmishes often before this war, but this would be the first full war.
The war was fought to take control of the Fracture.
As the Hyperionites fight their parallel universe selves, both sides are very evenly matched. So even, in fact, that the war ended back to where it started - with the HF controlling their side of the wormhole and the HE controlling theirs.
However, there have been moments where one side would occupy part of the other side. These didn't come often, because the wormhole formed an extremely small bottleneck making it harder to launch assaults on the other side. Additionally, these times came rarely. The First cross-fracture war became large enough that almost all factions from both universes participated. This led to an immense 3 way ideology and resources war, many alliances of which are made across the fracture. For example, the Hyperion Federation, Sulethis Republic and Karnol Caretakers allied with the Cypher Congolmerate and Grand States of Artanat. The sheer number of tactics and doctrines used in the war were immense, and a lot was learned by each faction. This information would come useful following the Cross Fracture war, as later several other wars were fought, including the extremely destructive Hyperquasar Annihilator War which devastated every faction. Not every faction fought their mirror universe selves. Most did, but there are a number of factions such as the HEX Mainframe whose goals were close enough for oth sides to cooperate.
