'Hyperion' ATV

A light ATV of the Hyperion Federation. Small and fast, it forms a key part of Hyperion land operations. Its primary weapon is a long range cannon, with a very high muzzle velocity. It's rounds will home in rapidly on any targets that get close to it. It has many missiles and chainguns as secondary and can engage targets from all elevations. These form good escorts for Positrons and Sunlances. Despite its speed, its shield is highly powerful.
It has an upgraded version as well, which is much larger and more expensive, while still being classified a light ATV. This would be known as the 'Hyperion TAC' Retrofit. The TAC battle package increases its self repair abilities substantially (see TGX Composite), increases its secondary armament, stronger armour and shield, and it can now call suicide UAV drone strikes.
The Hyperion ATV has been used in a number of wars against multiple factions. The vehicle has obtained a reputation for being reliable and versatile, and highly effective especially at long range. It is most often used in the desert where there is little cover for enemy forces, or as an anti aircraft weapon.
Like in many ATVs, the Hyperion has a lot of secondary armament. Its secondary firepower capability relies primarily on sheer volume of fire, which is an oddity as the HF does not normally make use of such strategies. Still, this makes it highly effective against lighter enemy vehicles and can cover entire areas of land on its own and prevent entire armoured advances as long as its shield remains operational. It can be destroyed by large enough weapon systems, like enemy ATVs or smaller weapons designed ot counter them. Light ATVs such as the Hyperion are often countered quite easily by heavier classes of ATVs such as the Cypher Dominion's 'Oppression' heavy ATV.
