Taisatinrun and Inrakaveach

Where is Inrakaveach?

Inrakaveach is the jewel of the western edge of the north-central forests of Tachamund. It is cupped by the dangerous sacred forest of Keltia-Aneya and not far from the coastal ports past the north edge of the forest.

It is served by the port city of Tasumdynal and Xeladash, and the two theomes are sometimes spoken of together ("Inrakaveach and Xeladash").

How is Inrakaveach classified?

As a major urban theome with deep and important mines, Inrakaveach is a Benevolent theome, albeit one where the people spend their health in hard labor. The local weave of Fate directs people best if they're willing to work very hard.

What kind of population and economy does Inrakaveach have?

The people who live here are known for taking vacations abroad, and rare indeed is the person who takes a vacation here!

Inrakaveach is famous for its metal exports. There are a ton of Vrash and Izerah here, who use their affinities for the deep earth (Vrash) or sheer endurance (Izerah) to prosper. There is also a small yet famed minority of the otherwise unmet Myrghon, who in Inrakaveach use their plumbob-gems as both earthshattering tools and aids in public performance. The mines of Inrakaveach are rumored to reach so deep into the underworld that underworld trade caravans have been known to use the mines' ore lifters to ship goods to the surface.

What is Taisatinrun like?

Taisatinrun is a petty dictator. He manifests as an anthro dragon who wears armor like a Vrash, and Inrakaveach is a city-state that Taisatinrun insists on running personally. Although he weaves Fate in a way that protects people adequately well, he measures his success by the city's ability to export raw materials - both ores and processed metals - from its deep mines. He is one of the few land gods on Theoma who has no patience for artisanry, and fine goods are to be imported to Inrakaveach rather than produced within it.

There's an arcane monolith in downtown made of floating crystals moving in a dance whose constant regular motions are nothing but a demonstration of precision in geomantic control by Taisatinrun. He grants only short audiences and geomancers often find him an intimidating land god to try to win the favor of.

What is the Fate Beacon that Taisatinrun maintains over Inrakaveach?

In accordance with Taisatinrun's ideology of regular output over refined output, the Fate Beacon which alters Theoma from Inrakaveach is a "Regularity" Beacon. People who work every day without fail and maintain a regular schedule are boosted by the beacon from Inrakaveach. Those who spend time in Inrakaveach are altered by the Beacon to be strengthened in this way, and some people who learn of the beacon from afar come to visit it. Inrakaveach is renowned as a place of dour order.

It's said that the arcane monolith in downtown Inrakaveach is the physical manifestation of the Fate Beacon, and so foreign travellers praying at the monolith are not an abnormal sight. Those who admire Taisatinrun make a point of visiting the monolith at some point in their lives. Praying for the beacon's aid in this way is said to draw secret assistance from Taisatinrun ever afterwards, and for this reason he is praised at the libraries of Querent-Querent as providing an exceptional jewel for many people to visit.

Some people are however of such an opinion as to detest this beacon, and so there are also sometimes pilgrims who come to the site of the arcane monolith and throw down necromantic curse charms at the ground by it to try to break its connection to them. Doing that works! Necromancy could be used to force this, and so the very gesture frays the unwanted connection (some necromancers can break their connections to fate beacons at will), but Taisatinrun also respects this gesture and does not fight to keep the connection when people indicate against it like this. In this way, people visiting Inrakaveach can persuade him to cut their connection with his Regularity beacon. The unpopularity of this beacon is because some people see it as a threat to the proper wealth of an immortal life: that when their basic needs are met, they should work as they desire, not as some predetermined ritual declares.
