Gitan Ak

Isle of the South

This continent was first discovered by Yenoan explorers when they were sailing around the Mer Archipelago. At first, they thought they had found another island, but upon further inspection, they quickly realized it was a large landmass. They assumed that it would be another Mystic continent, like Anyang, but this wasn't the case, they found dragons, and even giants, but none of the others, instead, they were attacked by massive, monstrous-looking creatures, that were completely strange to their eyes.

Titans

The Yenoans were able to make it back to the coast, and safely onto their boats, although not all of them had survived, and they reported what they saw back to their exploring base on Anyang. The creatures that had chased them away were first assumed to be some new type of demon, due to their strange appearances. During the next expedition, the Yenoans were much better prepared, and they managed to kill one of the creatures, at which point, they hauled its large body back to the coast, where they examined it. The autopsy proved they they weren't demons at all, their anatomy was nothing like that of a demon, and even their skin and muscle tissue were completely strange to the Yenoans.
These creatures were dubbed "Titans" and speculation of their origins spread across the world.

The Gate

Over the years, there were many expeditions into the heart of Gitan Ak. By the Yenoans, but also the other races, it was ultimately a group of privately funded dwarves, humans, and orcs, that made their way to the center of the continent, a sandy desert. most inhospitable to life, and at its core, they discovered one of the Terhikai gates, which launched an entirely new age of speculation, and theorizing, when news of this spread. The creatures were now assumed to originate from the other side of the gate, although no one was foolish enough to attempt to cross to the other side, to find out for certain.

Modern-day

Even years after these discoveries, Gitan Ak remains one of the least well-understood landmasses of the new world, even less so than Anyang, and much less than Armir. Expeditions to this land have decreased in frequency, and settling here is considered a foolish action indeed, as the Titans are forever coming to kill you. Besides that, no especially valuable resources have been found here.

Mystics

The Mystics to do live here, the dragons and giants, also live in nations, all of them in and around the mountains, away from the desert and the Gate there. All these kingdoms bear the scars of millennia of war, which has likely always been fought against the creatures coming from beyond the gate.

Flora

Besides the massive creatures, even the plant life here is gargantuan, the grass grows taller than men, and the trees here are unlike anything seen. even in Enyanin, or the jungles of Felmeria. Both in size, and shape. Their leaves are not needles, or broad leaves, like those of the rest of the world, but strange, thick green tubes, that branch out and fork off several times, or large round flat discs, with needles of them. Some of them do have something that looks similar to pine needles, but they look like the canines of a wolf, and are just as hard, and sharper still, the only thing that tells you they are leaves, is their green color.
The flowers here too grow larger than any others in the world, and most of them are either poisonous or will try to eat you, using sweet smells, and delicious fruit to lure you in, before closing its petals around you, and dissolving you in its stomach acid. A most unpleasant way to die.

Fauna

Besides the titans, there are a lot of more normal animals here too, although they are all adapted to living on this most perilous continent, either by becoming fast ad agile, or becoming large and dangerous enough to defend themselves.
