Land of Mystics
This landmass was first discovered by the Yenoans, who named it Anyang, what they found here was an untouched landscape, inhabited only by Mystics, All types could be found here, but they first encountered the Giants, who gave them no heartfelt welcome.
Mystical Kingdoms
On Veskar, it was long believed that mystics do not form nations, either because they don't want to, or because their are not capable of it, but here, in this new land, the explorers found full-fledged kingdoms awaiting them.
And it wasn't just the giants, but the dragons too, even the fairies have their own nation here, most peculiar of all, are the ent nations, with are the most numerous, and secretive.
The merpeople are the one in charge of the Mersea, south of Anyang, when explorers tried to pass between the outer islands, they found themselves attacked by swarms of angry mermen, with spears and tridents unlike what the Veskaren Mer tribes have even manufactured.
Tides Bay
When the Yenoan colonial fleet sailed into the bay, they thought it like any other, even tho it was rather shallow, it was deep enough for their ships, and they landed with no issue, but after they had found a suitable location for their settlement, and a few months had passed, they suddenly noticed to water retreating, until a few days later, all their ships were laying on dry land, and they were stuck many kilometers from the sea shore.
They were forced to abandon their young city and move back towards the coast, but one year later, the water returned, and many settlers died in the flood.
It is now understood that this bay spends periods under water, and equal periods as dry land.
These periods can last anywhere from a few months, to more than a year, but the full extent of this phenomenon is not yet fully understood, but most people blame Yfnar for this strange and irregular occurrence.
Yenoan Settlement
The Yenoans have now settled on an island they call Yefenu, which is only an island during times of high tide, and reconnects to the land during the low tidal periods. However, it always has a coastline on the sea, which only changes slightly in elevation.
This settlement has since grown into a true town, they call it a city, but it is still in its early stages of development, and the only people who were born here are babies.
Reef
off the shore of the continent, is a vast and long cold water reef that is home to many species of underwater plants, and sea creatures, this reef then plunges hundreds of meters into the deep sea, before resurfacing again about halfway between Anyang and Yeno, where there is a narrow ridge running parallel to the reef. This ridge at its highest elevation reaches to about thirty meters below sea level.
Climate
Anyang has a generally temperate climate, with colder areas in the north, and warm temperate to Mediterranean climate in the south, the wettest regions all hug the mountains in the east, and the southern coast is also one of the more mois areas, with the amount of rain there being able to sustain a temperate forest, which transition into temperate rainforest where it meets the mountains.
Tidal Plains
the tide bay, during its times of low water, usually has enough time to grow over, in a green explosion. There is no regular grass that takes root here tho, due to the lingering salt from the sea.
However, there is a native type of reed that loves the slightly salty soil, and quickly spreads across the entire mud fields as soon as the water is gone.
In turn, there are many native species of grazers that eat this read, and the Yenoans have discovered that it is a most suitable material for the creation of thatch rooves.
When the water returns, the now-drowned reeds provide a much-appreciated meal for returning fish species.
