Murqhin Sadheri

The Murqhin Sadheri (Sadheri: 'Lands of the Sand Walkers') is a kingdom founded in the Second Age by Elves fleeing Ysillia. It occupies the continent of Sadhera, as well as the small island of Sian, situated to the north-west of the mainland. Most of the inland is made up of inhospitable desert, known as the Sand Wastes.

Territories

The Murqhin Sadheri is made up of sixteen regions, or Holdings. These are further divided into the five Major Holdings, and eleven Minor Holdings. The ruling lords of the Major Holdings take a seat on the Holding Council, while the lords of the Minor Holdings do not. The Major Holdings of the Murqhin Sadheri are the territories surrounding the five largest settlements in the kingdom: Sidhe, Caran, Bokesh, Karh, and Sian.

Military

The Sadheri military is one of the known world's only standing armies, and one of two professional state armies in the world. The discovery of gunpowder in the late Second Age has made the Sadheri military one of the most technologically advanced.

Foreign Relations

The Murqhin Sadheri has close ties to the New Arkhosian Empire, due to the role of the Sadheri military in its founding. The Sadheri military is still heavily involved in training soldiers of New Arkhosia, and the majority of the Murqhin Sadheri's exports of raw materials and manufactured weapons, including firearms, are bound for the Empire.
