  • Beyond Mortal Memory....
    The First Creation
    Celestial / Cosmic

According to lore and legend, existence begins when Aetur creates the Sear, sometimes known as the Spirit World, and it is a place of pure magic and creation. It is during this time that the first of the Greater Spirits comes to consciousness from the raw power being shaped by Aetur. It then goes on to form what is known as the Mortal Realm, where order and structure reign in the chaos.

  • Beyond Mortal Memory....
    Eternity's End
    Celestial / Cosmic

Various religions have different interpretations of the events that led to the destruction of Aetur, but they share a common outcome; the shattering of Aetur's form into a physical manifestation known as Shards, and the rise of the Gods. Some contend that this made an infinite existence finite, and that with the creator being gone, existence will surely end in quiet or calamitous fashion.

  • Beyond Mortal Memory....
    The Second Creation
    Celestial / Cosmic

As the Gods became infused with remnant of Aetur's power, they set about making their own creations across both the Sear and the Mortal Realm. However, each of these powerful entities had their own conception of what the worlds should look like, causing conflict among them. Some mythologies suggest a hierarchy among the Gods, though to others the distinctions are less clear. At some point during this time, it is suggested that the Abyss was created, from which demons were spawned, though few can agree on how this came to be.

These beings roamed the Mortal Realm for thousands of years, often leaving destruction in their wake as they clashed with each other, until eventually they were all dead or gone. In their absence comes the giants, thought to be their descendants. This is sometimes known as the Age of Titans.

Where once their had been two moons, now there was only one and the shattered remnants of the other forming a bright ring around the world. It also brought about the total annihilation of the Aluthai's great civilization, and created the Tears, rips in the fabric between the Mortal Realm and the Sear where wild magic runs rampant. Some legends say it was one of the Aluthai who caused this terrible calamity, while others suggest a war between the gods. Dates after this point are denoted by the suffix AD (After Devastation).

    The Rebirth of Civilization
