Taldaran Travinder VI (Tal-Dar-Enn TraV-Inn-Dar)

High King (former) (a.k.a. The Boy King)

Taldaran Travinder, known as the Boy King, was thrust into a tumultuous destiny that would forever shape the fate of Tillain. Born as the son of the esteemed High King Orpheo Travinder IV and Queen Laphais of Heronn, his early years were filled with promise and anticipation of a bright future. However, tragedy struck when both of his parents fell victim to the Red Menace, leaving Taldaran orphaned at the tender age of thirteen.   In the wake of this devastating loss, whispers of a scandalous affair between Queen Laphais and Tolgaine Alontar, the commander of the Wing Guard, began to surface. These rumors cast a shadow of doubt over Taldaran's true lineage, igniting a firestorm of controversy that threatened to tear the kingdom apart. As powerful nobles sought to unveil the truth, petitions were made to Taldaran's cousin, Mathis Travinder III, urging him to sanction a testing of the soon-to-be-crowned High King.   Mathis, driven by a desire to uphold the honor and integrity of the Travinder lineage, reluctantly agreed to the request. However, Taldaran and his court adamantly refused to submit to such scrutiny, viewing it as an acknowledgement of the damning rumors that plagued his legitimacy. This refusal only fanned the flames of discontent among the nobles, laying the groundwork for the cataclysmic events that would follow.   The Civil War of Tillain erupted, as factions aligned themselves with either Taldaran or Mathis, driven by their beliefs and ambitions. Battles were waged, and at the pivotal clash known as the Battle of Tassendar Fields, the Boy King found himself in the midst of a chaotic maelstrom. Mounted upon his loyal griffon, he fought valiantly against the forces of Mathis, determined to prove his worth and defend his claim to the throne.   Yet, fate had a different plan in store. Amidst the chaos of the battlefield, Taldaran was struck down from his mount by the blade of the Prince of Flames himself. The young king fell, his dreams and aspirations shattered in an instant. His untimely demise sealed the fate of the kingdom, solidifying Mathis' ascension and plunging Tillain into a new era under his rule.   Taldaran Travinder, the ill-fated Boy King, will forever be remembered as a tragic figure in Tillain's history. Though his true parentage may remain shrouded in uncertainty, his life and the events that unfolded around him became the catalyst for a civil war that would reshape the very fabric of the kingdom.
