Tillain (Till-Ayn)
The capital of the High Kingdom had a humble beginning. A few centuries ago, it was but a small fishing town on the banks of the Great Lake. With the Kingdoms of Sarthon, Inderain and Heronn all in ascendance, Tillain grew in wealth and influence as trade with the Empire of Daskar expanded. As a thriving hub of trade, it truly was a melting pot city, with strong influence from the Empire as well as the other Kingdoms being seen in both the architecture and customs, particularly in the Hall of the High King, the center of power of the High Kingdom. Tillain is sometimes known as the City of Bridges, as it is built across several islands along the edge of the lake. Residents of Tillain are known for their sense of fashion, even among the common folk. The best tailors and shoemakers hail from Tillain. Trade is the lifeblood of the city, and it isn't uncommon to see people from far off lands like the Empire or the Borderlands here.
